ELearning Lead Job Overview: Our client is implementing a new SaaS-based Student Information System (SIS) with complex integrations to other internal systems. As such, we are currently seeking an eLearning Lead (internally titled "eLearning Quality Assurance Lead "), who has experience coordinating the development of eLearning materials as part of a large organizational project, to join our Ottawa, Ontario team. The College is leveraging this opportunity to redesign many business processes to better serve students and introduce efficiencies. The project also involves the introduction of a new portal to the Student Information System to improve the student digital experience. This is a significant investment for the College and this role helps ensure that the new processes and software are effectively adopted throughout the College. Employees and students will require a variety of training approaches, with the following high-level goals: Ensure that process changes are well understood and adopted by employees Provide flexible training options Ensure that training is designed to encourage knowledge retention and support just-in-time learning activities Deliverables: Reporting directly to the Manager, eLearning, and Development, the eLearning Lead is responsible for the coordination of eLearning development and the quality review process for the training materials that are created. The eLearning Lead will provide expertise in learning theories, educational technologies, adult education, and quality assurance standards for the creation of training materials. The eLearning Lead will work with subject matter experts, eLearning designers and developers, and management to ensure that a consistent development process is being followed and tracked, providing regular management reports Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Undertakes quality review process for training materials, ensuring they meet best practices in adult education and use of educational technologies. Undertakes content review process with Business Process experts and ensures corrections are completed. Provides expertise, guidance, and coaching, where required, on how to apply quality assurance measures to videos, software simulations, and learner assessments, to improve the user experience. Coordinates the eLearning development process to ensure consistency across modules and provides progress reports to management. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to new multimedia developer co-op students in their orientation and completion of assigned projects. Qualifications: 4-year bachelor's degree, 3-year Diploma or equivalent, required from an accredited institution in a related field (e.g., Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Curriculum Design) Minimum of five (5) years of experience coordinating eLearning projects, including the application of adult learning theories to produce interactive learning materials, software simulations, and instructional guiding documents. Minimum of five (5) years of experience coordinating eLearning projects, following a formal instructional design process, using tracking tools, and providing progress reports. Demonstrated expertise in the use of quality assurance methodologies and tools. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Premiere Pro, In Design, Audition). Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing software simulations within large ERP projects, including knowledge of processes to stage data for training simulations. Experience in the use of Adobe Captivate (or equivalent rapid eLearning development tool). Experience working in post-secondary education; knowledge of business operations in a Registrar's Office. Previous experience creating training for the use of a student information system. Note: This can be a primarily remote role with occasional (at least quarterly) meetings in the Ottawa or Perth, ON locations.
